Monitoring
Since our inception, 3D Services has accumulated a vast amount of monitoring experience. We are regularly employed to provide our specialist services gathering movement data for party wall surveyors responsible for buildings & structures adjacent to new construction projects. Over the years, we have developed techniques to acquire data to assess the extent of movement and deformation of structures. This may also include subsidence or heave of land or checks to the verticality of buildings. All observations are undertaken to a high level of precision to achieve the highest level of accuracy possible. Using this knowledge we can advise, design, or specify a wide variety of monitoring programs to suit any project. Our flexible monitoring programs can be tailored to any project, with frequency of reading ranging from daily to weekly or monthly. We can also offer an automated solution, should hourly observations be required. Following observation, quick, concise evaluation of movement measurements is undertaken. Reports or alarms are then issued to relevant parties according to requirement and specification. Our user-friendly schemes can be offered for a wide variety of project including: • Basement excavation & construction • Building demolition • Retaining wall movement • Tunnelling or bridge projects • Building subsidence • Crack monitoring • Landslip / bank deformation We are also able to provide noise and vibration monitoring that may be required for residential projects or large-scale construction sites. Our flexible and cost-effective programs allow for long or short-term observation. This type of scheme is often required for compliance with planning to ensure statutory limits are not exceeded, a baseline condition for new developments or measurement of noise & vibration from a more specific source.
